Allowance:
- Allow one bike per passenger to be included in the allowance.
- The second bike/bicycle or more will be charged as a normal excess baggage charge.

- The handlebar must be turned lengthwise (sideways) and secured to the frame.
- It may be necessary to remove the front wheel.

- Other than A320: CBBG will be accepted according to class of service:
- First class: Length 19in x width 19in x height 24in (48.26cm x 48.26cm x 60.96cm)

- Economy class: Length 17in x width 16in x height 24in (43.18cm x 40.64cm x 60.96cm)
- The cabin baggage must be secured by a seatbelt at all times during the flight.

- One pair of skis, one pair of ski poles, and/or one pair of boots, or
- One snowboard and one pair of boots, or
- One pair of standard water skis or one slalom water ski.

- If traveling to/from Australia or New Zealand, only one surfboard can be included in the baggage allowance. In case a passenger makes a stopover en route, the passenger is still entitled to this privilege. If in excess, charge by using a flat rate.
- To/from Denpasar, if the point of sale is in Japan, for travel to/from Japan/Denpasar with points of sale in Japan, one surfboard is allowed free of charge. In case a passenger makes a stopover in Bangkok, the passenger is still entitled to this privilege.

- A board length over 200 cm: Charge 2 units rate.

- One item of scuba diving equipment is defined as one empty scuba tank, one scuba regulator, one tank harness, one tank pressure gauge, one mask, two fins, one snorkel, one knife, one spear gun, and one safety vest.
Note: The spear gun must be unloaded, and the spear must be packed separately.
- Diving lamps are considered dangerous goods (covered by the general dangerous goods definition/class 9). However, the items may be taken with approval from the operator only if the battery or bulb is removed.
- Items of scuba equipment will be subject to the excess baggage charge for a single piece, whether or not presented as a single piece. Regardless of actual dimensions, scuba diving equipment will be considered one piece of baggage, with outside linear dimensions not exceeding 62 inches.
- Diving equipment is accepted as checked baggage only.

General Information
- Baggage Allowance determination and excess baggage charges calculation apply to baggage to be through checked from the point of departure to the point of arrival without stopover at any of the intermediate points.
- If passenger takes a stopover at an intermediate point, a new assessment of baggage allowance and baggage charges, if applicable, will be measured from the point of departure following the stopover.
- If you travel with additional weight or piece baggage which is considered as over carrier baggage allowance, the excess baggage charge shall be applied. THAI provides the amount of the charges varied in accordance with your baggage checked portion when you travel with THAI. If your journey and/or your baggage checked portion are comprised of more than one carrier, other carrier’s baggage rules may apply.
IATA divides the world into 3 main areas, and within each TC (Area), there are ‘sub-areas’ or ‘regions’ to facilitate the adjustment of fare rates, fees, and other service charges.
TC 1 is composed of North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
TC 2 is Europe, Middle East and Africa.
TC 3 is composed of the whole of Asia and the neighboring islands (with the exception of the part included in TC2); Australia, New Zealand and neighboring islands and also the Pacific Islands (except those included in TC1).
- For travel between different TCs, the airline operating the first sector that crosses from one area to another area determines the baggage rules.
- For travel between sub-areas within the same TC, the airline operating the first sector that crosses between sub-areas determines the baggage rules.
- For travel within any sub-area, the airline operating the first international segment determines the baggage rules.
